James
The guy that paints the picture, James is the founder of OPT and the designer of all lifestyle, performance exercise and nutrition programs at OPT. He is a full time husband, father and CrossFit athlete.




Leighanne
When not spending her time as a mother and CrossFit athlete she finds time to organize OPT and keep things operating smoothly.




Geoff
Geoff has a rock solid foundation on fundamentals of conditioning that he has gained over years experience as a coach/trainer here at OPT. He is also a full time CrossFit athlete and mixes his time spent on developing his skills in that interest with his full time job as a fireman.




Michael
Michael has used his degree in Human Kinetics as a stepping stone to where he is today as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Since graduating from St. Francis Xavier University in May 2008 he has been working at OPT. In this time he has logged a lot of hours honing his skill in coaching. Michael is also a competitive CrossFit athlete. A sport to which he dedicates many hours of his time. His favorite part of being a Strength and Conditioning Coach is seeing his clients improve their fitness, their lives




Trevor
With an extensive background in track/boxing/personal training Trevor enjoys the day to day as a full time coach/trainer. He mixes his training with CrossFit and Olympic lifting.




Trent
A former national bobsleigh athlete, Trent enjoys constant variation in his training when he’s not preparing for Crashed Ice events or extreme mountain biking opportunities when he is away from his full time job as a fireman.



Rob
With a football, alpine skiing and track back ground Rob has developed well into a CrossFit athlete and mixes his passion for this training with a solid foundation as a father/husband and great personal training coach.





Todd
A full time fireman, Todd Dyer mixes his interest in saving lives well with instructing people on how to improve their skills in lifelong fitness. He is an active CrossFit Calgary coach and a full time Crossfit athlete competing on a day to day basis. He enjoys instruction on any of the major physical training principles including POSE running, Olympic lifting and gymnastics.





DJ
A former U of C Dinos football player, DJ Wickham is a full-time student studying to become a high school teacher. His recent interest in executing functional movements at high intensity has led him to further his passion of teaching/coaching others by becoming a member of the OPT team. DJ is also training as a full-time Crossfit athlete at OPT as well as a part-time coach with Crossfit Calgary.





Laura
Laura MacDonald is an OPT client and Crossfit athlete that comes from a competitive swimming background with the University of Calgary Dinos. She holds a variety of Crossfit coaching certifications and is passionate about functional fitness as a way to achieve wellness and longevity. She has interests in program design, planning and competes day to day in CrossFit workouts at OPT.





Gord
Gord MacDonald is an OPT Client and Crossfit athlete who has developed a keen interest in personal training and functional fitness after seeing dramatic results in his own performance. He holds an assortment of Crossfit certifications and has taken part in a variety of sports as a participant and coach. Gord has competed at the CrossFit Games and daily competes to improve his overall fitness. His strengths lie in his positive personality and it shows in his coaching and training.




MeganMegan - Business Administrator
Her outgoing personality is in a instant match within the OPT culture. With a diverse sports background, Megan spends her time playing competitive soccer, cycling and snowboarding; her latest endeavor is taking on the daily CrossFit workouts. We look forward to her bringing her strong admin/business experiences and skills to OPT.




SeanSean - OPT Coach
Former team captain and starter for the Concordia University Stingers Football team, ranked #2 in the Nation. His work ethic/ dedication in the gym and on the field rewarded him with the "Most Dedicated" award in his last two university seasons. Passionate about all facets of fitness and true functional movement has led to his development into a full time coach.




SteveSteve - OPT Coach
With a passion for learning all about how the human body adapts and performs, he has spent countless hours shaping and constantly reshaping the type of Coach/Athlete/Person he is today. From Strength training, to rehab, to martial arts, he found his home in CrossFit. He has been working as a Strength and Conditioning coach in Calgary since 2006.
